Seven X growth tools, tagged by whether they automate engagement on your account. Prices checked 2 November 2026.
If you're a founder building in public, the best X growth tool is the one that helps you post every day and reply in the right conversations, without doing anything on your account that you didn't do yourself. For most solo founders that means a voice-matched writer, a scheduling calendar, honest analytics and a way to find posts worth replying to. Below are the seven tools worth looking at in November 2026, what each costs today, and which ones automate likes, DMs, plugs or reposts on your behalf.
I build BuzzyX, so it's on this list. I've tried to be fair about where the others are the better pick, and every price below comes from the vendor's own page, checked on 2 November 2026.
The short answer
| Tool | Starting price | AI writing in your voice | Scheduling | Automates engagement? | Best for |

The same comparison at a glance. Green means nothing happens on your account unless you press the button. Typefully's paid price is from a third-party breakdown.
Two names you'll still see in older lists: Hypefury's own pricing FAQ now says "Hypefury no longer supports 𝕏", and Black Magic says it shut down on 1 July 2026. Neither is an option for X today.
Two tools older lists still recommend. Neither works for X today.
What founders actually need from an X growth tool
Most "best Twitter tools" lists rank by feature count. That's the wrong test for a founder with an hour a day. What moves a small account is boring: posting consistently, replying to the right people early, and learning from your own numbers. So I judged each tool on four things.
The four tests every tool in this list was judged on.
1. Does it write like you?
An AI draft that sounds like a press release costs you more time than a blank page. The useful tools learn from your own recent posts and give you a first draft you'd actually post after one edit. If you want the method behind this, our guide on how to write X posts in your own voice covers it without any tool.
2. Does it keep you consistent?
A calendar you can fill on Sunday and forget about is the single most useful feature on this list. The how often to post on X guide explains why steady beats bursts.
3. Does it help you reply, or reply for you?
This is where the tools split. Replies are how small accounts get seen, which is why growing on X with replies is our longest guide. Some tools help you find the posts; others try to send replies or DMs for you.
4. What does it do on your account without asking?
X's automation rules say you may not like posts in an automated way, may not follow or unfollow in a bulk or aggressive way, and may not send unsolicited DMs in bulk. Automated replies are only allowed when the person opted in first, and the page says plainly that "sending automated replies to posts based on keyword searches alone is not permitted." On 23 February 2026, X announced in its developer changelog that replies through the self-serve API only go through when the original author mentioned you or quoted your post, which closed off most reply bots at the API level.
None of that makes every automated feature against the rules. Auto-DMs to people who replied to your post can be within them. But it's your account that gets limited if a tool gets it wrong, not the tool's. I wrote more about that trade-off in why BuzzyX never automates likes, follows, replies or DMs.

The 7 best X growth tools for founders
1. BuzzyX: best for founders building in public
BuzzyX is an X-only workspace built around the daily routine above. Compose Assist drafts posts in your voice, learned from your own best recent posts. The calendar schedules the week. Analytics come straight from the X API, so your follower trend and best times are your own. Discover finds recent posts where a reply from you would be seen, from a topic or your Following feed, and drafts reply ideas. The free Chrome extension does the same ranking on posts as you scroll x.com.
BuzzyX Discover: find a post worth replying to, pick a reply idea, then send it yourself from X's own reply box. Sample data.
The free BuzzyX: Reply Finder for X extension ranks posts as you scroll x.com. Sample data.
What it doesn't do is anything on your account you didn't press yourself. Replies open X's own reply box with your text filled in, and you hit Reply. There are no auto-DMs, auto-follows, auto-likes or auto-plugs on any plan.
- Price: $29/month or $290/year, everything included. See pricing.
- Trial: 7 days, card required, $0 today, cancel in Settings before day 7 and you pay nothing.
- Where it's weaker: X only, one workflow, no viral-post library, no multi-account agency plans.
2. Typefully: best writing experience and free plan
Typefully is still the nicest editor for threads and long posts, and it posts to X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon and Substack. The free plan gives you 10 posts a month. AI writing and X analytics start on Creator, which third-party price trackers list at $99 a year, billed yearly only. Business is priced per social set for teams.
Its pricing page lists auto-plug and auto-DMs and giveaways, so it isn't automation-free, but those are opt-in. If you write for several networks, Typefully is the better pick. Full breakdown: BuzzyX vs Typefully.
3. ClimbX: best for small creators who want sponsored posts
ClimbX pitches a specific outcome: grow on X and get paid by brands at small follower counts. Base is $29 a month for one account with voice-matched "Ready Posts", a reply feed, scheduling and analytics. Pro adds a 60-day growth journey, three accounts, 15 auto-plugs and 120 auto-retweets a month, at a $29 founding price for the first 100 users and $39 after that. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial for $1 with a card on file, then bills $29. I didn't find a Chrome extension on its site.
If the creator-monetization path is your goal, ClimbX is built for it. If you're a founder trying to sell your own product, the outcome story matters less than the daily workflow.
4. SuperX: best all-in-one suite for serious creators
SuperX is the biggest new player, built by Rob Hallam with Tibo Louis-Lucas, who built Tweet Hunter. Pro is $49 a month with 5 accounts, 500 posts a month, AI credits, X Articles, Bluesky cross-posting, API and MCP access, the web app and Chrome extension, and 1,000 auto-DMs a month. The AI post and thread writer and the 10M+ viral-post library sit on Advanced, currently $49 as a launch price and normally $99. Ultra is $199 with 5,000 auto-DMs and 100 bulk DMs a day.
It does a lot, and if you want research, lead finding and multi-account tools in one place, it's strong. You pay for that breadth, and its DM automation is the part to read carefully against X's rules. See BuzzyX vs SuperX.

5. Tweet Hunter: best for outbound and monetization
Tweet Hunter starts at $29 a month (Discover) with a 12M+ viral-tweet library, scheduling, analytics, 3,000 auto-DMs a month and auto-plug and auto-retweet. The AI writer and the CRM start on Grow at $49, and Enterprise is $200 with 15,000 auto-DMs a month. There's a 7-day free trial on each plan. Its own nav advertises running your X account "on Auto", so you know what you're getting. More in BuzzyX vs Tweet Hunter.
6. Postiz: best for posting to many networks
Postiz is an open-source scheduler for 30+ channels, from $29 a month for 5 channels up to $99 for 100, with a 7-day trial, an AI copilot, an API and an MCP server. It's built for breadth, not X-specific growth: there's no reply finder and no voice training. If your company needs LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and Reddit from one calendar, start here. Compare: BuzzyX vs Postiz.
7. Buffer: best cheap, simple scheduler
Buffer is the safe default for plain scheduling across 12 networks, from $5 a month per channel on yearly billing, with a 14-day free trial. It doesn't try to grow your X account and doesn't list any engagement automation. If you only need posts to go out on time, it's hard to beat on price. Compare: BuzzyX vs Buffer.
Which one should you pick?
Pick your tool in 30 seconds.
- You're a solo founder building in public, X is your main channel: BuzzyX. It covers the four jobs above and does nothing on your account you didn't do.
- You write for X and LinkedIn and want the best editor: Typefully.
- You're a small creator and the goal is brand deals: ClimbX.
- You want research, a viral library and multi-account tools, and you're fine with DM automation: SuperX or Tweet Hunter.
- You need many networks on one calendar: Postiz, or Buffer if budget matters most.
Whatever you choose, the tool doesn't do the growing. Showing up in the right replies with something specific to say does. Our X growth guide for founders lays out the routine, and the reply examples for founders show what a good reply looks like.
How I checked these
Prices and plan details come from each vendor's own pricing page on 2 November 2026: superx.so/pricing, climbx.so/pricing, tweethunter.io/pricing, postiz.com/pricing, buffer.com/pricing and hypefury.com/pricing. Typefully's live page didn't show prices to our checker, so its paid prices come from a 12 October 2026 third-party breakdown and should be treated as approximate. Vendors change plans often. If something here is out of date, email divv@divvlaunches.com and it gets fixed. For every tool side by side, see all BuzzyX comparisons.
